Kaziranga Photography Tour

Overview

This tour is designed for travellers who want dedicated time capturing wildlife and landscapes in Kaziranga. The park’s open grasslands, shallow water bodies and forest patches offer clear visibility, making it ideal for photography. Rhinos, elephants, buffalo herds, deer, wetland birds and dramatic sunrise views form the primary focus of this trip.

The tour also includes a short walk at Hoollongapar Gibbon Sanctuary, which adds a unique opportunity to photograph gibbons and evergreen forest habitats.

Daywise Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival and Drive to Kaziranga

Reach Guwahati airport and start your drive to Kaziranga. The road passes tea estates, green fields and small markets. Check in to your lodge and relax. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay.

Day 2

Photographer Friendly Safaris

Start with an early morning safari where light falls softly on grasslands. Rhinos and elephants often graze in open spaces at this time, giving clear shots.
Return for breakfast and rest. After lunch, leave for the evening safari. Sunset colours spread nicely across wetlands, making it good for portraits and silhouettes. Overnight stay.

Day 3

Morning Visit to Hoollongapar Gibbon Sanctuary

Begin early before sunrise and drive for about two hours toward Hoollongapar Gibbon Sanctuary. This forest holds seven primate species, including India’s only ape, the Western Hoolock Gibbon. With a forest guide, walk through narrow tracks and observe movement above tree canopy. Gibbons often travel in family groups, calling and swinging across hollong trees, which makes it a rewarding sight for photographers.

Return by late morning and relax at the lodge. Meals will be served at the hotel. Stay overnight.

Day 4

Full Day in the Park

Morning safari helps focus on rhinos and birdlife in open spaces. Return to the lodge for lunch and rest. Evening safari covers a different zone where elephants, deer herds and water birds show well in golden light. Overnight stay.

Day 5

Final Safari and Departure

Enjoy your last morning safari. Movement is high during early hours, giving final photographic opportunities of rhino activity, birds and possible elephant crossings.

After breakfast, check out and drive back to Guwahati or Jorhat for onward travel.

Carry home strong wildlife images of rhinos, elephants, gibbons, forests and open wetlands.

To confirm your seat, a 50% advance amount along with a recognized Government Identity card (Aadhar, Pan Card, Driver’s License, OCI, Passport, Voter’s ID, school/College ID) is to be sent to us. For non Indian nationals, only Passport is allowed. Id’s should be scanned and emailed at safari@kazirangarhinosafari.com
